My name's Mike and I live in SW France just up the road from David Borgnis (who some of you will know) and that's a good part of the reason that we own an Alpine!!

The car seems to like it here and enjoys the place as much as we do.
Good roads, little traffic, better weather for longer, slightly cheaper fuel and popular with the locals! (The car, not us!)

Hello Ivor,

Sorry, no Oldsmobile. They would have to widen most of the local roads for one of those.
The only American car I've had was a big 2-door Pontiac in Saudi but that was mostly for beating off mad Arab drivers!!

Sorry to confuse you, the 442 is part of my old RAF number, still imprinted on the grey cells!! Sad old git that I am.
