Firstly, hi to all forum members, new and old. I am also a Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger enthusiast, and a convert from another marque (which I need not go into here).

I have been into Sunbeams for about 4 years now, having restored, and converted my late series Alpine (last year I also bought a Tiger, so I have also been learning the ropes on that). If you see a red Alpine or Tiger around Surrey it just might be me, so beep/wave etc!! And why dont we have Surrey gatherings? I used to attend at Epsom, but I think they stopped meeting.

I am not much of a historian, but if anyone wants technical help with their cars, I will do my best to help them. If you are local, even better, as sometimes a quick look see works wonders.

Finally a confession: I am a lapsed SAOC member, and I will probably try and rejoin when I get a round to it, but my excuse is that I am weighed down by membership of other car clubs Shocked excuses excuses.

It would be good to see this forum become used regularly, so I would encourage everyone to post a few messages. If you have no technical problems (unlikely!) just post to keep in touch, and to get things going here. The American forum seems to work well so lets get the Brit one going eh?

Best regards to all.
Chris
