Posted for Steve by dibs. (Forum Admin.)

I am a long term member of the SAOC and was wandering if anybody knows who may be able to give an Alpine a proper waxoiling underneath to help preserve it, preferably in the Midlands. I have approached the main specialists that normally advertise in the Horn and have been quoted quite high prices. But I would rather go through our club if possible as I believe that interaction between members helps the club function. Although I do not expect the waxoiling / rustproofing to be done free of charge.

I ask the question as my local very trusted independent family run garage who normally does it has had to close down and so am now without a trustable and sympathetic source of service.

Thank you for any help with this matter as I want to preserve for what is a mostly original lovely old Alpine.

Many Thanks.

Steve

Hi,try Chris Draycott 01332 850856,he is based in Diseworth just south of East Midlands Airport, which may be local enough for you if you are in the Midlands.I bought my series V from him,and that was waxoiled before I took delivery,so it worth a call.Nice bloke and very helpful,I get much of my stuff from him.
